Website Ping & Download Test
Ping any website or IP address from global Cloudflare edge servers: check reachability, measure latency, and see per-probe response times.
URL Download Timer
Measure how long it takes to download a file or image from any URL. Works with direct links.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does this ping test measure?
The test sends 5 HTTP HEAD requests to your target from a Cloudflare edge server and measures the round-trip time of each probe. Results show average, fastest, and slowest response times, plus whether the target is reachable. Note that latency is measured from the edge server, not from your local device.
What is a good ping time?
Under 50 ms is excellent, 50-100 ms is good for most browsing and gaming, 100-200 ms is acceptable, and over 200 ms feels slow. Keep in mind that latency measured from a distant edge server is higher than latency from your own device.
How can I ping a website from another country?
Our ping test runs from Cloudflare edge servers. When you ping a target, the probe travels from the nearest edge location to the target server, which approximates how the site responds to international traffic.
Why is my download time different every time?
Network conditions vary from moment to moment: server load, routing changes, and bandwidth sharing all affect download time. That is why our download timer runs 5 rounds and reports the average, which is more reliable than a single measurement.
What does 'unreachable' mean?
It means none of the 5 probes received a response within the timeout. The site could be down, blocking our requests, or the domain may not exist. Check the spelling and try a different target to compare.
